From Revelation to Realisation

1 John 4:13-16 (NRSV)

“By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father has sent his Son as the Savior of the world. God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God. So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.”

The open heart of Jesus, poured out for us in His cross and resurrection, is a never-ending fountain of vitality and life! Words cannot express the quality and depth of its meaning. It is through the open heart of Jesus Christ – the realisation that we are in him, engulfed into the reality of His heart through the love of the Godhead, planted in the likeness of his death and raised within his resurrection-reality (see Romans 6:5; KJV) – that our own hearts are opened up to receive and live within the entirety of our inheritance. Seeing the established, unshakable work of Jesus Christ on the cross opens up our hearts so that what we receive is not just revelation, but realisation – not just a mentality, but a continual experience. The Gospel is not taught to oneself through mental sternness; it is caught as a heart-revelation, as we drink from the open heart of Christ as our living, breathing fountain of life – the animation of our heavenly existence! The Derby Bible translation says in Hebrews 12:2 that Jesus is both the ‘leader and completer of faith’. Jesus’ open heart provides us with His faith that heaven is here now: that heaven has has swallowed us up completely, surrounding us to permeate our hearts and minds, until we have fallen into this scandalously divine perspective!

We are falling through the trapdoor of the cross, the enchanted wardrobe of divine humanity, into wonderful articulations of God’s manifold, continually flowing, blessings. When we know the open heart of Jesus Christ, and simply drink from that fountain of reality, we begin to discover and explore the dynamics of who we are in this Gospel revelation, and experience how much the Godhead love us. As we become acquainted with these truths, God’s quality of life naturally expresses itself through us. We effortlessly float along on this fountain of Christ’s spiritual richness, moving organically, naturally, to those healthy, whimsical patterns of God’s blessing and grace. The Gospel reveals to us the most satisfying life, the life of our design, the reality of dreams-come-true, in Christ. It awakens us from the centre of our being so that we can live in harmony with the Trinity in spontaneous patterns – the geysers of the heart that spring up through the revelation of Jesus Christ’s faith on our behalf! God did all the responsible works on the cross, we can rest and trust that the open heart of Jesus continuously pours out to, through, and for us! Through the open heart of Christ we are engulfed into heaven as an experience of life, as Christ as all and in all (Colossians 3:11). You no longer have to experience distance, delay or dis-ease concerning you and the Godhead – the future you have been waiting for, and indeed all things, are yours in Christ (see 1 Corinthians 3:21-22).

Under the fountain of the New Covenant, we are able to declare with God that we know him – experientially, truly, from the heart (see Hebrews 8:11). We know him in this entirely new world that Christ has established us in, the reality He has carried us into in His love-flow. Jesus has taken full responsibility for the outworking and manifestation of our salvation – He has proven himself as the saviour of our world, the establisher of an evil-free existence – we simply abide in this whole new world, drinking up the atmosphere of the spiritual climate, which is heaven on earth right now (see Matthew 3:2; 2 Corinthians 5:17). As we drink from the open heart of Jesus Christ, the no-conditions, no-exertion reality, we effortlessly move from revelation to experience.

Supply!

The revelation of the Gospel is a revelation that in Christ, we have been blessed with a limitless supply, and have become a passive instrument of the grace and glory of the Godhead. In our union with the Godhead, it is an entirely new world where we can enjoy Jesus in everything, following our happy, holy hearts as they flow upon the bliss of Jesus, 702carrying us into every blessing further than the imagination can reach and brighter than even hope can shine. 2 Corinthians 5:14 (KJV) declares:

“For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:”

The love of God flows to us and through us – we effortlessly receive this never-ending, decadent supply. We rest in this reality of God’s love: the comforting, cosy substance of his affections – we rest and receive passively, becoming a recipient of every blessing as God takes care of all of our needs and supplies us with our happily-ever-afters in Him, in the here and now. This love is the wine of God’s wisdom (Song of Solomon 1:2), and it causes all dis-ease to dissolve as we sink into the reality that ‘one died for all’. This love articulates the wisdom of God throughout us, transforms our circumstances outwardly, reflects the character and nature of God perfectly to us, and answers all questions. The statement that ‘one died for all’, means that the cross of Christ transformed our reality and world, our entire perspective, as it brought us into the heavenly wonderland, into the rest of God (2 Corinthians 5:17). We can know that we died, and were co-raised to a new kind of existence; an existence of superior quality where, Galatians 6:14 (KJV) declares, “… 703.jpgin the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world”. The cross has torn open the heavens , the great piñata jubilee, and has poured upon us all sweet goodies and blessings of God. We are in a candyland of God’s sweet kindness, delight-filled affections, and delicious, glory-filled grace. This is the objective reality that we can experience with our senses and see manifest!

Romans 6:4-10 also articulates this:

“We were dead and buried with him in baptism, so that just as he was raised from the dead by that splendid Revelation of the Father’s power so we too might rise to life on a new plane altogether. If we have, as it were, shared his death, let us rise and live our new lives with him! Let us never forget that our old selves died with him on the cross that the tyranny of sin over us might be broken—for a dead man can safely be said to be immune to the power of sin. And if we were dead men with him we can believe that we shall also be men newly alive with him. We can be sure that the risen Christ never dies again—death’s power to touch him is finished. He died, because of sin, once: he lives for God for ever. In the same way look upon yourselves as dead to the appeal and power of sin but alive and sensitive to the call of God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (PHILLIPS)

In Christ, we have ‘risen to life on a new plane altogether’, experiencing an entirely new quality of existence in a heavenly paradise, through our union with Christ’s resurrection. This is not a future promise – we are not perfected by time or death, as if they were our saviour – Christ is our already-established, fully victorious Saviour who HAS saved us and set us free to the uttermost, so that our faith can be IN His resurrection as the basis of our reality and essence, and we can EXPERIENCE all that is true of the risen Christ in the here and now, through our union with Him. This revelation brings emotional, mental, material, tangible blessings, because God’s finished work in Christ is the substance and essence of 704.jpgreality – and you are one with this reality in your union with the Godhead! One to feel and experience your holy, righteous, bliss-filled state! (1 Corinthians 6:17). This is why the James Moffatt Translation of Hebrews 9:11 states that “Christ arrived as the high priest of the bliss that was to be…” – Your life can be filled with Christ’s joy and bliss, effortlessly, through the supply that is in us and fills our world in Christ our Saviour!

Habakkuk 2:14 (KJV) speaks of our present reality through Christ: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” – The earth is saturated in God’s glory, and we can know and experience this through the revelation of Jesus Christ “in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”’ (Colossians 2:3; KJV). 1 Corinthians 2:16 comments that we have the mind of Christ; therefore, even our mind is awakening to the redemption realities in Christ, as it receives the revelation of the Gospel and passively rests in the very active supply of God, sinking into and awakening into the realities we have in Christ.

Just as 2 Corinthians 5:14 speaks of a love which compels and constrains through the knowledge of Christ, the previous verse tells us that this revelation brings us out of our own mind (i.e. our own self-sufficient, independent ways of thinking):

“For if we have been beside ourselves, it has been for God’s glory; or if we are now in our right senses, it is in order to be of service to you.” – 2 Corinthians 5:13 (Weymouth New Testament)

“If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.” (NIV)

The experience of God’s love, the reality and knowledge that we have been co-crucified with Christ and co-resurrected into an entirely new world where ‘one died for all’ to usher us into the rest, God’s glory, comes as we enter into the mind of Christ – no longer clinging to an independent, D-I-Y existence. Instead, we are ‘beside ourselves’, knowing 705.jpgand personalising our union with Christ. Understanding that what is true of Christ is true of us, and what is no longer true of Christ is no longer true of us, because we died with him and subsequently rose with him to a new quality of existence. We literally underwent a death to all that is less than glory, and rose into gloryland – heaven on earth in the here and now – a realm of God’s creative, manifest affections. The ‘I’ that made me ashamed and embarrassed, the ‘I’ that was so full of competiveness, insecurity, pain, issues, and that was attracted to sin and lesser pleasures, has been completely crucified with Christ. Christ has replaced ‘I’ with His glorious Presence!

We no longer have to live within the mindset of sin, sickness, disease and curse. We can live with union-consciousness and effortlessly receive all of God’s eloquent, articulated supply flowing to us effortlessly, organically and naturally in the revelation of who we have become and what we have received in Christ. All else effortlessly fades away – there is no principality or power that can contradict us or come against us as we sink into the ease of the authentic Gospel of union-consciousness. Heaven is here right now, and we can experience and enjoy the eternal vacation – the blessed-full, evil-free existence in Christ! We are partakers of the divine nature, and can live as such (2 Peter 1:4).

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”  – Galatians 2:20 (KJV)

Your identity is wrapped up in Christ, who completely and totally redeemed you and your entire world, declaring that the kingdom of heaven is at hand! Our job is to simply ‘repent’ – to step into the mind-set of the risen Christ –so that we can experience all of the glorious, beautiful, pleasant, sweet fruits of resurrection effortlessly, as a recipient of his701.jpg divine nature! (Matthew 3:2).

This new world is preserved, sustained, established and secure all through Christ’s love for us. Truly, through our marriage with Christ’s resurrection we were gifted with the entire cosmos as a personalised, joyous honeymoon gift! (Romans 4:13; Romans 8:17). Ephesians 3:19 (KJV) comments that: “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”

1 Peter 5:10 announces that the God of all grace called us to ‘eternal glory’ – meaning that in the here and now, through the revelation of our co-union with Jesus Christ, this divine romance, we can experience the fullness of God’s glory! (see also Romans 5:2, and 2 Thessalonians 2:14). 1 Thessalonians 2:12 reminds us that we were called to share  in God’s kingdom and glory. That is our calling – the pleasure and delight of walking in the fullness of God, His finished works, in the here and now. Living in the eternal vacation of God’s heart of imagination, effortlessly receiving and enjoying his overwhelmingly intoxicating supply. Christ has replaced self at the centre of our lives, and because of this, we can delight ourselves in the full-fat substance of Colossians 1:27 (AMP)

“God [in His eternal plan] chose to make known to them how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in and among you, the hope and guarantee of [realizing the] glory.”

You have been completely glorified in Christ. This is not a low-calorie Gospel. This is a creamy, sweet, delicious truth filled with delights! Song of Solomon 6 declares to us that as we meditate, enjoy, rest in, and sink into the supply of God in our union with Christ, putting on the mind of Christ (union consciousness, where an independent sense of a sinful, lacking ‘self’ is annihilated, as Christ has infused our unique essence with his perfect holiness!), we begin to experience and see heaven on earth in the here and now!

“One day I went strolling through the orchard,
looking for signs of spring,
Looking for buds about to burst into flower,
anticipating readiness, ripeness.
Before I knew it my heart was raptured,
carried away by lofty thoughts!” – Song of Solomon 6:11-12 (MSG)

As we enjoy God and the realities of our union with Christ, we experience a raptured heart, 707glorified emotions, and a confident, positive expectation of good in all situations. God saturates our world in wild, untamed, child-like wonder! Brother Lawrence in his book ‘The Practise of the Presence of God’ had truly understood something of this wonderful truth:

“we should feed our soul with a lofty conception of God and from that derive great joy in being his”

“The King, full of mercy and goodness, very far from chastising me, embraces me with love, makes me eat at His table, serves me with His own hands, gives me the key of His treasures; He converses and delights Himself with me incessantly, in a thousand and a thousand ways, and treats me in all respects as His favorite. It is thus I consider myself from time to time in His holy presence.”

“I have quitted all forms of devotion and set prayers but those to which my state obliges me… I make it my business only to persevere in his holy presence, wherein I keep myself by a simple attention and a general fond regard to God, which I may call an actual presence of God; or, to speak better, an habitual silent and secret conversation of the soul with God, which often causes in me joys and raptures.”

Wow! Brother Lawrence truly understood the enjoyable experience of union with God! It is an experience of the glory of God, given freely through the grace of Jesus Christ! As John Crowder has written in his article ‘The Divinity of Man’:

“Your divine nature is a God-given and Christ-dependent reality. Nothing has been independently vested upon you, but rather you are intrinsically dependent upon the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. The glory you experience is no result of a two-dimensional transaction between you and God based on your faith. This is Trinitarian. You are effortlessly graced to participate in the Spirit because of Jesus’ relationship with the Father. He prayed, “Now, Father, bring Me into the glory we shared before the world began” and then just after added, “I have given them the glory You gave Me, so they may be one as We are one” (John 17:5, 22). You have been infused with the same glory that the Father and the Son shared from the dawn of time.”708.jpg

This is a glorious reality that we are infused with the never-ending supply of God’s practical, detailed goodness, love, and manifest blessings – his glory!

Abiding Sweetly

John 15:5 (KJV)

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

Is your primary mode of living one of exertion, are you drowning in a sense of demand? Or are you soaking in the rest and supply of Christ’s finished work? In Christ, we are swallowed up into the good news that, one with the Godhead, our only job description is to abide in our new reality – the life of the Trinity (see 2 Corinthians 5:17). Abiding is the posture of rest and simple trust in the all-sufficient, practical nature of God’s love and kindness. Because Christ has enveloped us, engulfed us into union with him, and immersed us in a whole new world of unceasing glory, we know that this passive posture of just being loved by Father God is a canoe on paradise waters, where God carries us into every single one of our blessings. We are living eternally on the paradise honeymoon-island of God’s heart, discovering one blessing after another in this good news message of who we have become and what we have gained in and through Jesus Christ.

Just like a branch, we rest in our union with the divine – our inclusion in this good news that heaven is here now. This posture of abiding makes us to experience the nourishment of the Father’s love and provision, his grace, and we discover that we effortlessly behold and manifest glorious fruits in each aspect of our life. Our natural posture is one of fruitfulness in the good news – as we rest, his fruits flow through us, with vitality, life, glorified thoughts and emotions, miraculous blessings, honey-glory, security, comfort and so much more. Psalm 23:2 (KJV) tells us that ‘he maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.’ (emphasis mine), as the magnitude of this positive gospel message presses in on us from all sides, so that we are passive recipients of the Father’s beauty and grace (see 2 Corinthians 5:14). This is why John 15:16 (KJV) explains that we are ‘ordained’ to bear fruit. A branch does not strive or exert effort to produce or maintain fruit, it just abides in the healthy branch, simply remaining in reality, and sweet nectar flows and produces all kinds of pleasant fruit! We are carried along in the bliss-revelation of the good news. This is why the Greek word for ‘ordained’ used in John 15:16, tithēmi,  is also translated ‘established’. God has established us in heaven on earth in the here and now (see Mark 1:14-15), so that our effortless, natural existence is pure, heavenly vitality. The heavens are already open and are flowing consistently to and through us, in our union with the Trinity (see 1 Corinthians 6:17). Sink deeper into this reality, continually abide…

Psalm 46:10 (KJV) tells us that we are to ‘Be still, and know that I am God:’ We have permission to be conscious of nothing but the heavenly reality (see Colossians 3:1-3).  All and every gift of heaven is freely ours; we can simply relax into and enjoy the honey-pot of God’s glory through abiding. It will begin to captivate us and articulate itself through our daily life, in our emotions and through our imagination, as this good news message, whilst being completely relational, organic, and simple, is truly not shallow. It has endless depths of glory, wonder, inspiration, and delight. It is an entirely new world. In Christ, Romans 6:4 (PHILLIPS) describes to us that we have risen to life ‘on a new plane altogether’. As we know this, the old problems, the bitter circumstances, are completely destroyed, without us having to figure anything out, lift a finger, or even understand how the situations worked themselves out. Christ is all and in all, in and through our lives, so we can enjoy the life of the Godhead in all things (see Colossians 3:11). This is why Meister Eckhart, a Christian mystic, has declared that “nothing in all creation is so like God as stillness”. We can be still, simply abide, and recognise that the old has gone, and the glory of God is here in Christ! (see 2 Corinthians 5:17)

Experiencing Jesus!

Psalm 34:8 (KJV)

“O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him”

Faith is a substance – God’s tangible opinion of the reality of your co-resurrection in Christ – to be drunk down and enjoyed (see Song of Solomon 5:1)! It isn’t a stoic intellectual ascent; rather, it is a moment-by-moment experience of being loved by God, as His holy excitement, his exotic, enjoyable emotions, flow through us, filling our heart and enlightening our imagination so we effortlessly enjoy and recline into the reality of realities: the Gospel of wonder!  In Christ, through your co-resurrection with Him, you have been immersed into the glory realm and share in everything – and I mean absolutely everything – that the doting, bliss-filled Trinity are and have (see 2 Corinthians 5:17). Of course, it is good for us to remember that experience of the Gospel, of the emotions of God, is not the pathway to intimacy and union with Jesus. Rather, your experience of the Gospel is secured through Jesus: it is the effortless result of the intimacy that we share through being grafted into the Godhead, cut from the same cloth as them, through Christ’s finished work. We are encompassed by favor, seated in the beloved! (see Psalm 5:12; Ephesians 2:6). Scripture clearly reveals to us that it is the works of Christ, and not our own works, which ushers us into the experience of the Gospel. Therefore, it is the Holy Spirit’s job to manage and manifest our emotional climate (see Galatians 5:22).Our responsibility is to simply recline into the good news and enjoy wave upon wave of God’s affectionate, cosy, warm love, being soaked by His perspective of the ‘in Christ’ reality (see John 1:16).

We are to sink into the expectancy and all of the emotions of Christ’s faith on our behalf, letting God do the ‘serious’, ‘responsible’ work (solving any circumstantial, personal, and relational issues), as we drink up the imaginative, positive-limitless implications of our union with the Godhead. You could never out-imagine God’s goodness. He is so wildly glorious that even our best attempts to over-exaggerate His goodness and joy do not scratch the surface! He is the source of all creativity and wonder, the great, epic fantasy adventure of the soul. This is why we can rest assured that through Christ, the fruits of our lives will be emotional wholeness and joy! Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit (see Galatians 5:22). This is why Psalm 34:8 describes to us that we taste and see (experiencing and knowing in every facet of our existence, including our emotions) that God is truly good through simply trusting Him! Song of Solomon 8:9 (NASV) also writes this same truth: “And your mouth like the best wine! It goes down smoothly for my beloved, flowing gently through the lips of those who fall asleep” – This verse may sound confusing, but it highlights that as we ‘fall asleep’ to our own efforts, allowing ourselves to be loved on, adored, provided for, and encouraged by the Gospel message – becoming recipients of God’s sweet perspective, His good news and love – we discover ourselves ‘tasting’ delicious experiences of God’s love! (see Song of Solomon 1:2).

The delights of Christ, the wine of God’s wisdom, transforms everything about our world, intoxicating us with positive, delight-filled emotions. As we allow our imagination to take a tour of the realities of faith, we discover ourselves filled with a tangible sense of God’s blessings, love, and affectionate, intimate delights. Song of Solomon 6:11-12 (MSG) describes this as such: “I went down to the nut orchard to look at the blossoms of the valley, to see whether the vines had budded, whether the pomegranates were in bloom. Before I was aware, my desire set me among the chariots of my kinsman, a prince” – The delight-infused reality of faith carries you into various emotional experiences, enabling you to perceive in many ways the realities of your inheritance in Christ. The details of the Gospel truly set you free in the area of your emotions, so that the dynamics of faith express themselves not only through your mind and material world, but also become tangible in your physical body. This is why disciples in Acts 22:17 and 10:10 ‘fell’ into a trance (ESV). This speaks of an emotional experience of the Good News!  You were created to experience Jesus – to taste and see that your inheritance and reality in the Godhead is good!

Separating Truth from Religious Behaviors and Rituals (Part Three)

Faith as Substance!

Therefore let no one judge you in regard to food and drink or in regard to [the observance of] a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day. Such things are only a shadow of what is to come and they have only symbolic value; but the substance [the reality of what is foreshadowed] belongs to Christ.” – Colossians 2:16-17 (AMP)

Scripture is clear that the reality and substance of life is Christ and the faith of Jesus Christ – what His grace knows to be true of us and our world in our union with Him – our co-resurrection in Him! (Galatians 2:20).  This is also revealed in Hebrews:

  1. “The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.” – Hebrews 10:1 (NIV)
  2. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)

The reality (substance, material) of the believer’s life is the blessing of God in Jesus Christ (see also Colossians 1:13; Galatians 3:13-14) and our whole new reality of existence in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17). Darkness however, has no real substance or reality. It simply means there is an absence of light, and throughout Scripture, darkness is used to symbolize a lack of understanding about our identity and blessings in Christ (Isaiah 60:1-3; Colossians 1:13-15). This is why sin (anything that is the result of the fall of man, such as sickness, disease, punishment, condemnation and pain etc.), is the Greek word ‘hamartia’. Romans 3:23 in the Mirror Bible explains this perfectly:

Everyone is in the same boat; their distorted behavior is proof of a lost blueprint. (The word sin, is hamartia, from ha, negative and meros, form, thus to be without form or identity…” (MIRROR WORD).

Sin and darkness have no real, active form or substance. The word ‘sin’ itself means ‘without form’! Throughout Scripture, Jesus, the substance, is referred to as light (John 8:12; John 1:4; John 12:46).Darkness, however, is simply the absence of light, which means that Jesus and His reality is the ONLY one that has substance –  He enlightens the believer to their true identity, and the objective reality of Christ as all in all  (Colossians 3:11). He enables us to live within, engage with, and enjoy true reality, experiencing and manifesting the substance in and through His finished work. We have become partakers and receivers of God’s substance! Our bodies, our minds, our lives, and our relationshipsflower-181984_960_720 have gone from empty-desert wanderings to a blossoming garden of exuberance, beauty, creative-joys – all the substance of life! Truly life is an adventure of bliss and glory!

Christ’s faith in the power of His cross and resurrection (and your inclusion in that) is your effortless connector to all supernatural blessings and bliss, your ‘light switch’ in this world. Simple trust in His perspective enables you to see ‘in’ and ‘through’ Christ’s eyes, effortlessly flowing with the frequencies and vibrations of reality, manifesting all that Christ is and has in the here and now. Ephesians 3:6 declares to us that through the Gospel we become partakers of the promise of Christ (KJV).  This is why you cannot actively receive darkness and curses, as darkness is nothing. Christ’s light has come to reside within you, and the darkness has fled! Darkness has no form, order or substance to receive from. It does not belong in your reality or world anymore and has no hold in it. Simply knowing this truth enables us to be set free from feeling an obligation or necessity to engage in many religious behaviors and light-bulb-1407610_960_720.jpgrituals that pass as ordinary and commonplace in the church. You do not need to engage in warfare when joy-fare is rich and abounding in the substance of reality and power, because it engages with God’s faith, with the objective reality of Christ and life in Him! (see Nehemiah 8:10).

Being ‘in Christ’ means that you have been engulfed into the reality of heaven on earth in the here and now, to sink into it and enjoy it. Darkness and light is not in an active battle. Jesus poured out all of the wisdom of His substance in His cross and resurrection to release you into the revelation and subsequent manifestation of His life and the goodies of His heart and imagination – you have been plunged into the reality of realities! This truly is joy unspeakable and full of glory! (1 Peter 1:8; KJV)

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,” – Colossians 1:13 (NIV)

You do not need to live a life of religious suspicion or paranoia, which has no relevance to Christ and His finished work (the new, eternal age of the Gospel!). You cannot actively receive ‘the curse’, or even any curses, because the curse has no substance to actively receive from, and you are already in possession of the light-substance of Christ, which fortifies you!

Many religious burdens are placed on people through false teachings in this area. The truth is that curses are without form and substance. They do not exist in your reality, the objective reality. So, for example, even when you or people around you speak negatively and not in faith, it does not impact or affect reality, as it is not drawing upon any negative substance. It’s not drawing upon anything at all! Yet whenever you enjoy the realities of faith in any form, that POSITIVE substance effortlessly flows into your world by grace through faith, protecting and fortifying you from sin, sickness – all darkness – because power-poles-503935_960_720.jpglight is reality, and no darkness can withstand it. It is this reality of light that HAS rescued you from the life of sin (no form, no reality), where you stumbled about in the dark, vulnerable to every ‘work’ of darkness.

There used to be a ‘source’ that people COULD receive bad from (well more accurately, a system in which people could not engage with the good, as the law is not of faith – Galatians 3:2). However, the law was only a shadow, and Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13). The curse no longer exists anywhere, it is not in reality, so there is only one source that believers can receive from, enjoy and flow with, the Holy Spirit. If someone doesn’t trust in Holy Spirit, and speaks and lives in a faithless manner, it does not mean that they will receive the bad – as the bad has no active form or substance – it just means that they aren’t actively enjoying the light (the realities of the Gospel) in those moments.

You are in union with the Godhead and can enjoy all that they are and have in the here and now!!!

As we believe in – simply co-see with God –  the finished work of Jesus, we naturally and effortlessly enjoy and experience the blessings of faith and grace – and so do our families, who get actively blessed through our faith. Negative words and actions have no active spiritual consequences; they just don’t have any positive power to release the blessings and substance of faith, so the person engaging in negativity isn’t enjoying the realities of faith in that moment. This is why Christians do not need to get into religious behaviors and rituals to try to ‘balance’ or ‘counteract’ faithless words or works. A lot of prophetic ministry today is shadowboxing, engaging in empty religious behaviours and rituals with no spiritual value, as Christ already completed the work and defeated the devil! Christ has already carried us into the substance of all blessings, the comfort and detailed affections of His love-dream come true!

Christianity should not be about what we have been delivered from (as looking back to the ‘dominion of darkness’ is pointless. We’re not there anymore!). Christianity is all about girl-918734_960_720what we have been delivered TO! – This is engaging with and enjoying the power-packed, creative-joy dynamite of faith!

Today, you can simply enjoy the realities of the Gospel, knowing that the faith of Jesus Christ is the only reality, and that as a believer, you ARE naturally in the Spirit and surrounded by heavenly blessings and realities at all times (see Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:25). There is NO condemnation and NO active spiritual consequences or curses for us in Christ (Romans 8:1). That is why Psalm 23 says that goodness and mercy are CHASING after us, as they are the only active forces – blessing is active, it has substance. However, darkness is like ‘the valley of the SHADOW (without form, substance, or reality) of death’ (see Psalm 23:5), yet even when we walk through that as believers, we walk WITH Christ, and his truth effortlessly leads us out of any areas of wrong beliefs and words (shadows).

Many preachers act as if darkness has substance, as much substance as faith even, but that is not true, and it places unnecessary demands and burdens upon people. Faith is substance, which is why when we enjoy faith in any form, we can actively, effortlessly move mountains with the realities of blessing that is released. God is so good and he is the Source!

The message of Christ’s finished work (our co-resurrection in Christ and subsequent inheritance in Him!) renews our mind so that we can enjoy the blessings of Jesus that are already ours, and be effortlessly transformed as a result, more and more in the natural realm, in a way that blesses us, others around us, and our circumstances (hence why the blessing of Deuteronomy 28 reaches to external circumstances and even farther – to our homes and families)…..That is why whenever you enjoy and comprehend faith, you know and can rest assured that your entire family and home is irrevocably, irreversibly blessed as a result, without you having to lift a finger! You’re all blessed and you can’t do anything about it – you certainly can’t speak your way out of a manifestation of that blessing, as all blessings are BY FAITH THROUGH GRACE. So there’s no words or efforts involved, and therefore no words or efforts which can disqualify you from receiving. FAITH, the active substance of blessing, is released WHENEVER the Gospel is heard:

  • “faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ.” – Romans 10:17 (AMP)
  • “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” – 2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)
  • “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” – Romans 1:16 (KJV)

However, because we can ‘receive’ faith in a manifest way, does not mean we can ‘receive’ darkness. Darkness has no substance. Faith is light, and darkness has never understood, threatened, or come near that light. It just flees from it (John 1:5). Just like when you switch on a light, all the darkness flees. Darkness is not an active force, and all darkness ‘died’ on the cross with Jesus when he made a spectacle of all principalities and powers through the revelation power of His reality….So words and actions are NEUTRAL if they 16are not an outflow and overflow of Christ’s substance of blessing and hope. The power is not words or our efforts or actions, but faith – faith is all about Christ and the realities of blessing we have through his finished work. Faith is co-knowing with God what He knows to be true of us in our union with Him. That is where the power is.

So carry on enjoying faith in grace-rhythms, in the ways that are normal, natural, and personal to you. You don’t need to counteract anything. Warfare is swallowed up by joy-fare in the New Covenant, because Jesus won the battle and carried you and your family to the victory, so you can enjoy and experience all of His blessings without hindrance or opposition! Under law, when the unclean touches the clean, circumstances became unclean. But under grace, your cleanliness in Christ is a constant reality, and so the unclean becomes clean effortlessly.

You are filled with the substance of faith! You can’t receive darkness, only blessing.swimming-1925391_960_720.jpg Believer, be set free from religious rituals and behaviours! Allow the Gospel to enlighten your mind, and as this occurs, religion will effortlessly fall from you, and you will discover yourself living effortlessly in the unforced rhythms of grace!

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” – Ephesians 1:17-23 (KJV)

Limitless Life Devotional

Glorified!

John 17:22-23 (AMP)

“I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one, just as We are one;  I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected and completed into one, so that the world may know [without any doubt] that You sent Me, and [that You] have loved them, just as You have loved Me.”

The love of God and the glory of God hand in hand! In fact, Jesus explicitly declares that we can live the glory realm consistently and constantly, because His life within us has gifted us with such glorious grace. Jesus has already immersed us into glory land through our union with him, so that we can experience a superior quality of life, the riches of our inheritance, and the ease of perfect union with the Trinity each and every day. We can live within the detailed supply of the Father, the simplicity of heaven on earth in the here and now, not through our efforts but through our source, Jesus!  Indeed, we are not simply in the glory realm, we are composed of the glory of God, which flows from our union with the beautifully gracious, abundantly happy Trinity! We were infused with their very own life-essence and glory-flow through our co-resurrection with Christ (1 Corinthians 6:17; 2 Corinthians 5:17).

Many are striving for the glory of God, not realising that the glory surrounds us! It is simple and uncomplicated, gifted freely to us in Christ. There is nothing to figure out, nothing to attain or strive for. No secret tips or warfare techniques. Christ alone is the mystic secret, and Christ dwells within the believer in fullness! The reason that people miss this is not because it is complicated, but because it is so simple – God loves you, God has been good to you, God has supplied you the riches of His glorious grace! Simply sink into the ease-filled reality of John 17:22-23 – rest in it and enjoy it:  ‘I have given them the glory that you gave me’ (NIV) – You see, it’s entirely simple! God has already given us the glory! These wild words will convince you that simple trust and faith is the key to experiencing every manifestation of God’s creative, exciting, wonder-inspiring glory. It is an entirely new quality of existence in Jesus!  Jesus’ words in John 11:40 echo the same truth, speaking a reality of such wonder at how effortless this Gospel of experiencing heaven on earth in the here and now truly is:  “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”  (NLT). Christ alone is the mystic secret, the key to heaven that unlocks all treasures and riches of God’s tangible love and goodness.

Colossians 1:27(KJV)  establishes us in this same truth that ‘the riches of the glory of God’s mystery’ is not made known through a formula, prayer closet, or spiritual meeting – but Christ alone is our effortless connector to the glory of God (heaven on earth in the here and now!). The allusive secret is now made known that Christ in you is the hope (confident expectation) of glory! – Christ is the glory realm – Christ, ‘whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.’ (Romans 5:2; KJV). Christ’s grace has ushered us into glory land in the here and now, as God has torn apart the sacred/secular divide. We can enjoy Jesus, being conscious of his transformative, creative glory resident within, to, and through us, in each daily activity. Allow your imagination to engage in the delight-filled, creative, personalised, delicious glory-expressions of Christ, through resting in and remembering who Christ is within you, and what you have gained in him. As Ephesians 1:18 (KJV) writes it: “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,”  – this fond affection, this enjoyment of your elevated reality in Christ, will effortlessly spill over in manifestations of creative miracles and glorious, power-flowing blessings, causing your hope levels to sky-rocket. Matthew 3:2 encourages us to repent, because the Kingdom of heaven is here! His glory is here!

Separating Truth from Religious Behaviors and Rituals (Part Two)

A Defeated Enemy!

One of the lies of burdensome religious beliefs is that negative actions and words need to 63be counteracted or balanced with faith-filled ones; otherwise you may receive something negative or be vulnerable to the enemy. This lie has caused many to live within the bondage of ‘religious’ (superstitious) behaviors and rituals. When someone explores the prophetic without a proper revelation of God’s grace in Jesus Christ, the result is often superstition, religious behaviors, rituals, and paranoia!

The truth of grace is that Jesus single-handedly saved you, plunged you into heaven on earth in the here and now, and preserves you in this superior existence. Your reality is resurrection-glory! Therefore as a believer you cannot actively receive anything negative – faithless and negative words and actions have no spiritual power or dominion over you – they do not exist in your fresh, new reality of the vitality of Jesus Christ, in which you share in all of the goodies of His resurrection, being filled with that same glory! (See John 17:22; 1 Thessalonians 2:12). You reside in the new world of heaven on earth in the here and now, completely separated from the old world and old ways of do-to-be-mentalities, manipulation, superstition and control. Religion speaks a dead language and has been 21made completely irrelevant to you through the resurrection-life of the Spirit that flows through your veins. You are completely dead to sin, demons and the demonic realm, as well as to complicated mechanisms to try to control, maintain, and sustain your spirituality/spiritual experiences (see Romans 6:11).

At one time, you were the master of your own spirituality, and reaped the fruits of that, but now, through the finished work of Jesus Christ, Ephesians 1 (PHILLIPS) astounds us with the reality that we are God’s ‘holy and blameless children living within his constant care.’ We live within the finished work and detailed care of Jesus Christ. God has given us a constant, ever-flowing supply of blessing that counteracts and transforms all curses effortlessly. We can radiate the light of Jesus within us, so that anything negative that touches us is itself transformed to light! (John 1:5; Psalm 36:9). We are surely surrounded with favor as a shield! (Psalm 5:12). Demons do not exist in your realm, because you are in Christ, one with His resurrection, and flowing with these resurrection realities organically, naturally, and effortlessly. Galatians 2:20 (AMP) declares to us that:

“I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

In other words, in and through Christ, you can view yourself and your world through resurrection eyes. See how the J. B. Phillips translation writes Galatians 2:20, “And my present life is not that of the old “I”, but the living Christ within me.” – Just as Christ is the light the darkness flees from, you are also filled with this same light, this same favor, this same glory! You can consequently live with the declaration of Galatians 6:14, “But let it not be for me to take pride except in the crucifixion of our Lord Yeshua The Messiah, in whom the universe has been crucified to me, and I have been crucified to the universe.” (Aramaic Bible in Plain English) – Allow yourself to organically, naturally, 64effortlessly radiate the bliss-filled, love-lavished glory of your co-resurrection with Christ as you perceive the crucifixion which has taken place – a crucifixion that, in Christ, has ushered in the radiance and knowledge of God’s glory in every nook and cranny of human existence (Colossians 2:3; Habakkuk 2:14; Romans 8:19). Your works could never accomplish or attain even one iota of what Jesus did in one fell swoop at the cross!

You are in heaven on earth in the here and now. Ephesians 1:6 (KJV) announces that: “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” The Greek word for ‘accepted’ used here is ‘charitoō’, which speaks of being completely encompassed by favor. You are fortified, established, and preserved in the reality of your co-crucifixion with Christ (by which every principality and power that was against you was completely destroyed – see Colossians 2:15), and in your co-resurrection in union with Christ, where you share in His new, holy nature, desires, and possess all that Christ is and has. This is exactly what it means when Colossians 1:13 in the Weymouth New Testament comments that “It is God who has delivered us out of the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us into the Kingdom of His dearly-loved Son,” – The language of Scripture delights itself in the fact that we are already in a new Kingdom, where the old world of demons and religious boogeymen has completely passed away. 2 Corinthians 5:17 expresses this gleefully:

  • “So if any one [be] in Christ, [there is] a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new:” (Darby Bible Translation)

  • “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.” (Word English Bible)

  • “Therefore, if anyone is in the Messiah, he is a new creation. Old things have disappeared, and—look!—all things have become new!” (International Standard Version)

I also love the way that the Amplified Bible articulates in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that we are in a new world ‘because spiritual awakening brings new life’. Christ’s spiritual awakening 24blossoms effortlessly throughout our own human existence, because his belief inspires and expresses our own! (See Romans 1:17; Psalm 36:9; Romans 10:17).

In Matthew 2:18-20 (KJV) Jesus declares: “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” – If Jesus (and consequently you, who are in Him), have all authority, then the devil clearly has none! Luke 10:19 (KJV) unmistakably states the same thing; “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” – Believer, today hear the words of Jesus, that nothing can actively harm or curse you! You do not need to maintain your salvation; Jesus has already secured and established you in an unshakable Kingdom of His love, grace, and blessings! (Hebrews 12:28). As John Crowder in his book ‘Mystical Union’ says, “I don’t know much about your principalities but I do know about mine!”

Many religious teachings view the enemy as an active, looming force. However, Scripture shows that this is not the case – the enemy has already been totally destroyed and plundered (See Hebrews 2:14; Colossians 2:15). We are not fighting for victory, but resting in our seat of already established victory in Christ (Ephesians 2:6). Trusting in God’s grace will always fortify us from any wrong or false mindsets that would cause us to strive or strain. We live within His established victories; His detailed care of us! This is why Scripture mentions ‘the wiles of the devil’ (Ephesians 6:11; KJV), as the devil is completely and totally powerless, so you can only be deceived by unrenewed mindsets in yourself as well as in others. These unrenewed mindsets however are not an active force or substance and do not leave the door open for an active enemy. The enemy is completely defeated. In fact, even your mind is on an adventure of discovery, through the Holy Spirit (your heavenly tour guide of this whole new world in Christ!) into realising how gloriously redeemed and perfect it is. 1 Corinthians 2:12, 16 tells us that:

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God… For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” (KJV)

Discovering our righteousness and grace in our co-crucifixion and co-resurrection with Christ (our inherited blessings!) will always, without fail, set us free – free from unrenewed mindsets, free to see every blessing of God manifest throughout our lives (John 508:32). The enemy has no active force or power to get at us or cause anything bad to happen as a consequence of us not fulfilling any religious ‘duties’ or ‘burdens’. He doesn’t even exist in our reality anymore. One of the Scriptures that really articulates this is Colossians 2:15 (KJV):

“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

The key to this verse is in the word ‘triumphing’, which makes reference to the Romans’ ‘triumphant procession’, which would take place to show that an enemy was completely powerless and had been conquered thoroughly. In a triumphant procession, the defeated king would be stripped naked in front of his subjects and dragged through the streets, with his thumbs and big toes cut off. This was to show that the defeated enemy was now laughable, unable to hold a sword, run, or engage in any kind of attack. There was nothing to fear of this foe[1]. The risen Jesus took the keys of death and hell away from the enemy,65.jpg and in our union with Him gave us the keys to heaven on earth in the here and now (See Revelation 1:18; Matthew 16:19; Revelation 3:7) . The enemy is not an active force and has no power or authority. Unfortunately, a lot of believers have missed this memo, and feel that as a result, they need to place upon themselves religious burdens such as Old Testament models of prophecy…
