Taken to the heights of glory in Jesus!

1 Corinthians 2:9-10

‘However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him” – but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.’

How glorious is it to know that there is no great ascension we need to somehow climb in Christ?! There is no mystical building, whereby our good works translate to spiritual building material! But, in our beautiful Jesus we have ascended with him to the highest heights of glory and have been provided a vast estate; a glorious union with everything provided, the quality of which goes far beyond anything the wisdom of man could imagine or describe! And we get to live these glories throughout our day, every day! So many settle for mediocre, when in Christ we already have a solid, eternal union laden with every blessing imaginable! Whether you can feel this reality or not, whether it seems logical, it is real and it is the truth, it’s in Christ!

Now, not everyone believes that this reality – the truth of having something prepared that is unimaginable to human wisdom, that is so beautiful that even the best human language can’t describe, something that is engineered so wonderfully that the cleverest of human logic can’t fathom or explain – is for the here and now. Lots of people relegate verse 9 of 1 Corinthians 2 to the after-death experience. However, those people forget the mega scope of the finished work of Jesus and the glorious impact of the Spirit of God, oh and verse 10 which states that God has revealed those things already! Why has he revealed them? Why are they not a mystery to the children of God? Because they are in us, included in our Salvation! Paul goes on to say in the same chapter that the Spirit is given to us to so that we may understand the things FREELY given of God (vrs. 12), and then says we have the mind of Christ, we know the things of God! (vrs. 16).

We have the Spirit now! And by virtue of having the Spirit we have the glorious things which the Spirit reveals, those things freely given! Be confident today! Know that you have a no-lack union, filled with so much glory that it can only be the Jesus-experience!

Thoroughly Supernatural

1 Corinthians 1:7

‘Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.’

The gospel is a supernatural message! From start to finish the gospel is about the extraordinary work of the Godhead securing for us an eternal, supernatural redemption! This is why, 1) the gospel has nothing to do with our works, it’s all by grace, through faith, and, 2) we are now new creations who are called to operate in the supernatural and invade the impossible! I love it! The gospel is so relevant because it informs us of the cure for the ills of this world, but it also goes against the grain of the knowledge of this world because it is thoroughly supernatural, it points to Jesus, it doesn’t demand our practical-‘I’ll pay you back’-works!

As part of our supernatural heritage in Christ we are called to enjoy and operate in the gifts of the Spirit. Now when it comes to operating in the gifts of the Spirit we must remember certain things: Well, firstly cessationism is a doctrine from the rubbish dump. Secondly, Paul listed nine simply because he choose to list nine (there are also nine fruits of the Spirit listed). This does not necessarily mean that there aren’t other grace abilities that the believer can walk in. Thirdly, which do you like the look of? Tongues? Healing? The shiny gift of Prophecy? Well, Paul does say that each one should take its turn in church, but this doesn’t mean that believers can’t operate in all of the gifts. Notice this weeks meditation verse; ‘Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.’ (See 1 Corinthians 1:7). Paul says that we ‘do not lack any spiritual gift’! Hallelujah!

We are new creations, under new covenant, in a new day, and we are thoroughly equipped to be thoroughly supernatural! Let’s believe in our heritage, know we are equipped and lack no spiritual gift, rest and enjoy grace, and see the gifts manifest as the Spirit enables!

From The Outhouse To The Whitehouse

By Josh Hunt

I heard the title, ‘From the Outhouse to the Whitehouse’, mentioned in a motivational address, and liked it! It reminded me of how the power and favour of God on our lives can create glorious ‘suddenlies’. In Christ we have been given a great inheritance, and this inheritance can be made manifest on the outside and transform our seeming contradictions into the heaven we possess on the inside. Let’s remember that the favour of God is explosive, it takes just one moment of manifest favour to catapult you ahead and give you your ‘Whitehouse’ experience.

Sometimes we can fall into the trap of defining God’s favour on our lives by our circumstances. It’s easy to think that when we have situations that are hard God’s favour can’t be on our lives. But this is completely opposite to the truth of the good news revealed in Christ. In fact, even using the word ‘circumstances’ to describe difficult contradictions isn’t necessarily accurate; in Christ our circumstances, our reality, is Christ and his reality. This is why Paul urges us to set our minds on things above! We have the reality of Christ. His circumstances are our real circumstances. Anything which is contrary to the reality of Jesus in us is simply an earthly contradiction to the eternal reality, which will conform to the person of Jesus by grace, through faith.

The truth of the matter is that no matter how bad things may seem, no matter how hard, no matter how long, God’s love for you is an eternal, bonafide fact, a forever covenantal promise, and his favour is on your life. Some Christians find it difficult to accept the fact that grace is just as present in the contradictions as it is in the line-up moments (those moments when earthly moments line up with heavenly reality). Some believers find it even more difficult to believe that grace can change contradictions and manifest heaven on earth. It’s a good thing when people believe that favour is not indicated by circumstance (I use the word now with the idea of contradiction in mind). But the danger is when we get so used to the ‘outhouse’ that we make a home out of it.11

Perhaps you have made a home in the ‘outhouses’ of life? Well, even though it could feel like home in the sense it may feel ‘normal’, it is not your home! In fact it is a far cry from the splendour you were created for! In the midst of the busyness of life, in the midst of contradictions, and even in the midst of sin, know that the ‘outhouse’ is not your final destination. It’s not your home. Be aware of your heavenly Daddy who adores you with more intensity than the heat and light from a hundred thousand suns. Know that God’s favour is on you, that his favour is always surrounding you, and that as you rest in his love for you, you can see the riches of his favour turn your ‘outhouse’ into a ‘Whitehouse’ of glory and grace.

This is what happened to Joseph in the Bible; he had it pretty good resting in the favour his father experienced, until he was taken away from his father and thrown into a pit (literally and also metaphorically). Joseph was in an extremely bad place, probably one of the worst places imaginable, sold as a slave, lied about, and then just as things got good, thrown in prison. Joseph was definitely going through an ‘outhouse’ experience. But Joseph knew that the favour his father had, he had! Joseph knew that because God was with him he was successful (Genesis 39:2); because God’s presence was with him he would experience good days. He knew that he shouldn’t live in the ‘outhouse’ because El Shaddai (not ‘El cheapo’ as Andrew Wommack points out) was for him. And things worked just fine to say the least.

Today the Christian can expect what Joseph got plus much more because today, through Jesus, we have been evaporated into the actual circle of God! Today we have the fullness of God’s favour, the favour he himself carried, because we have the fullness of his presence. When we know we have the fullness of the presence, the fullness of the person of Jesus, we know that we cannot be stopped!

‘Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.’ – 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

It is the heart of our loving Daddy to establish us in everything we do. His desire for our lives is for us to be saturated with his favour and power. Daddy God wants us to be extreme with hope; sometimes we can find ourselves so used to the ‘outhouse’ that we talk ourselves out of promise. The Bible, when understood in its true light, which is Jesus of course, presents such promise that we find ourselves immediately challenged to believe God for ‘Whitehouse’ experiences! 12

Perhaps it has been difficult of late? Perhaps the dusty ‘outhouse’ seems to be the limit of your life? Well, start to enjoy the love of God and get ready for every limiting paradigm to be blasted from your view! With God there are no limits! With Daddy it takes just one moment for everything to be radically changed and for you to be established in the ‘Whitehouse’. In the natural it never looked like Joseph would get his ‘Whitehouse’ experience, especially from the view of the pit and prison. However, God changed things around, he was for Joseph, and Joseph ended up as the Prime minister of all of the Egyptian Empire! With our God nothing is impossible; he’s exceedingly rich and dedicated to your happiness (yes, happiness) and success! Get ready for your ‘Whitehouse’ experience!

Innocence And Joyful Abandon Are Your Portion

Matthew 18:2-4

‘He [Jesus] called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven…’

Every one of us is designed to experience the glorious realities of heaven! We who have received Jesus and his finished work are especially ‘hungry’ for the impossible! However, many slip into the trap of believing that this greatness, these glories are achieved by the super serious-businessman-legalistic-pharisaical approach. Sadly many believe the lie that in order to make it in this world we must compete, and so automatically opt for ultra-seriousness/do-it-yourself Christianity. As a result of this we by-pass the glorious opportunity to receive the fullness of Daddy God’s love as a little child and operate in the Kingdom!

There is an innocence and a joyful abandon that belongs to children. Jesus said that it is this mind-set that makes a person great (as in, a powerful operator) in the kingdom of heaven (which is the spiritual kingdom of Christ on earth waiting to be appeared manifest). In fact Jesus said that if we don’t take aboard this innocence (a free gift in Christ) and joyful abandon, we won’t be able to see and operate in the kingdom at all! This is by no means a condition! But this child-like trust is the believing before seeing that enables us to enjoy the good news!

There is so much wonder in the gospel that unless we are willing to be child-like and use our imagination we won’t ‘get’ it all. Sure, we might get the theology, but if we are holding on to our serious veneer we just might overlook the call to believe the reality by faith! Don’t be afraid to believe that you are Daddy’s beloved child; you can go about your day confident that you are his, and as his you have every ‘toy’ you could ever need or want! You are well able to operate in the Kingdom and see heaven manifest on earth! Let’s throw off the ‘weight of the world’! Let’s enjoy the love of our Daddy, knowing that we are and will always be his beloved Children. He loves you so much! He desires for you to cuddle up in his arms and believe the truth of the gospel, as you do you will find yourself operating greatly in the Kingdom!

Access to the Kingdom of God

By Josh Hunt

Religion doesn’t just keep us on an emotional treadmill of depression; it denies us access to the Kingdom of God. And by ‘denies’, I mean it says we can have access, if

But the Kingdom of God is not accessed through religion, or self-effort. The Kingdom of God is accessed through the Holy Spirit; the Spirit takes what Jesus has accomplished and makes it a reality in our lives (see John 16:14).

So many people are trying to access the privileges of the Kingdom through the toil of the dominion. You can’t do it! You can’t enjoy the beautiful blessings of heaven, through the hard work of living by the flesh. We have been delivered from the dominion of the cursed world of living under law, we are now, currently living in the Kingdom of light (see Col. 1:13).

The Kingdom of God is ours because of grace. We access it by grace alone.

‘… the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.’ – Romans 14:17

Notice, the Kingdom of God is in ‘the Holy Spirit’. We access the Kingdom and all of its blessings by grace, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 14:17 states the above-mentioned; the Kingdom of God can’t be accessed by religion, ‘the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking’. This, ‘eating and drinking’, refers to the belief that it is okay to eat and drink certain things and not okay to eat and drink other things.  This way of thinking is religious. Paul says that we are not to make a big deal of what people eat and drink (see Rom. 14:13), but at the same time emphatically states that the Kingdom of God is not subjected to human logic or religiosity.

The Kingdom of God is ‘in the Holy Spirit’. How did you receive the Spirit? ‘By observing the law, or by believing what you heard?’ (Gal. 3:2). The Kingdom of God and all of its wonderful blessings is a gift of grace.

Don’t be like the ‘foolish Galatians’ and try to finish by your own effort that which can only be accessed by the Spirit (see Gal. 3:3). Grace is the only way to live!

The Kingdom of God is the most attractive place to live. It’s a place of wonder and beauty; a place of dreams come true. God has always desired that we live by grace, through faith in the Kingdom! It’s important to realise that the Kingdom isn’t some future thing; it is not some future manifestation that the second coming of Jesus will bring about. No, the Kingdom is the work of Jesus’ first coming! The Pneumatological realisation of the Finished Work of Jesus!

The Kingdom is an amazing place to live! The good news of the Spirit is that this Kingdom isn’t some far away reality. The Kingdom is on the inside of us! We can live in the Kingdom because we carry it with us. The Kingdom is in the Holy Spirit.

As we enjoy the love of Daddy God we manifest that glorious Kingdom and it flows out of us and transforms our outward tangible lives into the Kingdom. The flavour and atmosphere of heaven in us radiates outwardly and transforms our lives, our homes, our families, our churches, and our communities!

But, in order to see and enjoy the Kingdom in us we must remember that the Kingdom is not ‘eating and drinking’. The Kingdom is not; do this, don’t do that. The Kingdom is not philosophy, or religion, or rule-keeping. The Kingdom of God is in the Holy Spirit, and it looks like ‘righteousness, peace, and joy’!

The Kingdom of God isn’t rule keeping, it’s righteousness. This righteousness is not trying to do the right thing. No this righteousness is a gift! Paul is saying that the Kingdom of God isn’t do what you think is right, the Kingdom of God is righteousness as a gift. Because of Jesus we have a gift of righteousness. A right to the life of the Godhead! That’s what righteousness is; a free gift of a right to the Godhead based on what Jesus has accomplished. This also includes a righteous nature, but that’s because we have a right to the life of the Trinity!

Then Paul goes on and says that the Kingdom isn’t do this, don’t do that, the Kingdom is peace! Religion and human philosophy take away our peace. They base our foundations of believing on shakeable ground and so we are always left with a feeling of human hopefulness; ‘I hope this works!’ But the Kingdom is Jesus’s free gift of peace! A peace that transcends understanding (see Phil. 4:7). Listen to how the Amplified bible describes peace in 2 Peter 1:2; ‘…and peace (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you’. Isn’t that amazing! The Kingdom peace is based on unshakable foundations; what Jesus has accomplished for us! This leaves us with a bible hope; ‘I hope in Jesus’, and ‘hope never disappoints’ (see Rom. 5:5).

The last things Paul says the Kingdom of God is, is joy! There is no joy in belief systems that allow one to do one thing, but abstain from another. This is not because sin is fun. No way! It’s because we weren’t made to focus on law. We were made to live the very life of God. Paul says the Kingdom of God is joy in the Holy Spirit. This is the attraction to the Kingdom. This is the best from of evangelism. The life is the light. The incredible joy that belongs in the Kingdom because the radical love of Papa is the defining flavour of the Kingdom. The joy is the light! The life is the light!

The Kingdom of God is so glorious! It contains all that you need; healing, provision, protection, favour, prosperity, Daddy’s love! But please remember; the Kingdom of God is not based on human understanding or ‘eating and drinking’, it’s based on the unshakable work of Jesus, and it looks like the gift of righteousness, peace and joy in the wonderful Holy Spirit!

Redeemed From Negativity!

By Josh Hunt

Negativity is often rampant in our culture. Midst the positive thinking of leaders and organisations, of happy TV shows and good weather is often a deep rooted fear and pessimism. Most people don’t even realise that they are harbouring such negativity. People seem to live their life foreboding; terrified of the worst. In so many ways we are bombarded by negativity, and the humanistic positive thinking of leaders and comedies isn’t enough to change the way we think. What we need is bible hope! By bible hope I don’t mean faith in the bible, but rather the biblical definition of hope; confidence in grace, resting in God’s love (see Romans 5).

The church ought to be so filled with hope that springs forth from union that she promises constant positivity! However, this, at least on a global level, is not so. Many come to church only to hear more bad news than the world is spouting. In fact, in many church’s people hear the supposed bad news behind the bad news, i.e. (Read in angry preacher voice) “The economy is so bad because we are nearing the great tribulation!” It’s about time we throw out our terrible eschatological exegesis, get rid of our pessimistic expectation, and trust in the all-sufficient power of the gospel – the glory of effortless union with Christ!

Many believers don’t switch from mental/emotional negativity because they still believe they are connected to spiritual negativity! So many people don’t go on the journey of renewing their minds because they don’t know that they have anything worthwhile to renew their minds for. They don’t know what they have been delivered from and what they have been brought to. Once people understand that they have been ransomed from spiritual negativity they are then empowered to renew their mind from mental or emotional negativity! In order to grasp our freedom we must understand the power of Jesus’ finished work!

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” – Galatians 3:13

Jesus came to establish union with himself. That’s what the whole thing is about. Union. Jesus came to save us from our state of spiritual deadness, and to resurrect us to new life. Daddy saw the curse that spiritual death caused; poverty, sickness, depression, negativity etc., and came to save us. When Jesus came he kept him divinity, but he also stepped into fallen Adam, including the curse. Now, it’s important to know that Jesus didn’t just go along and act like Adam, no he fought every step of the way, never once sinning, manifesting the blessing instead of the curse, driving out evil. But, it is only death that would destroy ‘Adam’ forever. So, Jesus died. He died and killed everything that first Adam was, along with Spiritual deadness and the curse. Jesus on the tree declares publically that he became a curse for us! He became a curse and killed it. Jesus then resurrected a new type of human, a man created in spiritual light and life, created and established in the blessing.

The great news for us is that when we came into Christ we were included in his death, resurrection and accession. The glorious gospel declares that you and I are now free from first Adam too. We have died to sin, to spiritual deadness, to the curse (see Romans 6). The cross is sufficient!

Once we know that we have been freed from spiritual negativity; that every ounce of curse and evil died there with Jesus on that tree, we can start to renew our minds and see mental/emotional negativity turn to childlike trust and insurmountable joy! This is what Ephesians 4 encourages us to do…

“Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught , with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” – Ephesians 4:21-24

It is clear that Pauline revelation hinges on our participation in the finished work of Christ; that we have died to sin once and for all. Here, Paul contradicts not his gospel, but talks about our mental positioning in accordance. Paul does not say put off the old self as if it still spiritually exists, no Paul is very clearly referring to ‘the attitude (or spirit) of your minds’. In other words, Paul is encouraging believers to take of those thought patters that no longer fit, and put of beliefs that are true to the eternal reality of your death and resurrection in Jesus. When people know they are free from spiritual negativity they can put off mental and emotional negativity. They can, as Paul says in Colossians 3, set their minds of things above.

Mental negativity falls off us when we enjoy union with Christ. Jesus, in his earthly ministry, knew that negativity was no match to the supply of the Kingdom of God. Jesus knew that because he was connected to spiritual positivity he could ignore mental/emotional negativity. Jesus knew that his natural habitat was the supernatural! He knew that there was a supply and reality that could meet his every need! That’s why in Mark 5, when Jesus was about to go and raise Jairus’ daughter from her sickness, he ignores the negative voices of those in his close proximity. Mark 5 records that while Jesus was still speaking, men came from the house of Jairus reporting of the child’s death. Jesus ignored them, and the pressure of demand. Jesus ignored them because he was aware of his Fathers grand Kingdom of supply, where even death is subject to change.

Perhaps you feel surrounded by demand? Do like Jesus and ignore the negative voices. The Amplified Bible says Jesus overheard, but ignored. Do the same, you may hear the negative voices of demand, but ignore them. Instead focus on the glorious Kingdom of Daddy God, a Kingdom which never has a shortage or lack of supply. Never.  Don’t be afraid, only believe! Believe that you are free from the curse; believe that your negativity died with Christ. Putt off the old foundations of your mind, and set your mind on things above.

Locate Yourself Correctly

By Josh Hunt

The gospel is the greatest message in the Cosmos! What God has done in Christ has ensured our happiness for all time! Are you enjoying the reality Jesus came to give you? Well, there’s nothing wrong with the message, there’s also nothing wrong with you. Often when preachers assert the validity of the message they preach, the person listening gets the blame; [read in angry preacher voice] “there’s nothing wrong with Jesus, there’s nothing wrong with the WORD, so the problem is with you!” But there is nothing wrong with you, in-fact, Jesus has made you right! The message and reality of the gospel is true. There’s nothing wrong with it and there’s nothing wrong with you, but allow me to ask you, are you enjoying it? Are you enjoying the glorious news of the New Covenant? Enjoying is imperative for, well, enjoying. Faith enjoying is a glorious way to see and enjoy the spiritual inheritance in the tangible! Are you enjoying? It’s so fun. Life with our Daddy is so exciting! His goodness overwhelming!

So many people are hearing the grace message, yet some are struggling to feel it in their emotions. Some are left saying; “Thank Jesus for the cross, but where is the joy?” There is a difference between intellectual assent and enjoying and believing the truth. Many are becoming free intellectually, and are feeling the benefits to an extent; however, in order to enjoy the full benefit, we must enjoy the reality by faith. It’s possible to learn the truth of new birth in Christ, but still locate ourselves in deadness. Worry, fear, anxiety, depression, are all signalling signs that we may be, at times, locating ourselves incorrectly. As Joseph Prince says; right believing produces right living. The same is true; wrong believing produces wrong emotions.

Don’t, ‘settle’ in the natural. Don’t be deceived into thinking and believing that what you see or feel has to be the benchmark for your life. Didn’t anyone tell you that when you became a believer you were joined to Christ, mortality was swallowed up by immortality! Your life is supernatural. You are supernatural! One with deity, Married to Majesty! Don’t try to ‘achieve’ in the supernatural. Don’t be deceived into thinking and believing that you have got to build a relationship with God in order to enjoy the gospel. Some people are so worn out through trying to attain happiness and joy through, prayer, fasting, ‘abiding’. No, didn’t anyone tell you that you are joined to Christ, Married to Majesty?! Don’t ‘settle’ in the natural, and don’t try to ‘achieve’ in the supernatural. Instead, ‘settle’ into the arms of Daddy God, and rest in what Jesus has ‘achieved’ for you! In other words, the key is to enjoy the gospel by faith!

You are not ordinary, so stop locating yourself in the ordinary! You are not a victim to your circumstance. It is not fitting for the wonderful (you), to locate themselves anywhere but heavenly realms. You may have spent your whole life locating yourself in the natural, believing you are less than who God say’s you are, but today, you can relocate! Maybe you’re struggling with negative circumstances? You have options you don’t know about!

It will help you to locate yourself correctly if you understand what grandeur you have been plugged into! You’ve got a great inheritance:

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” (Ephesians 1:3)

Union with the King of the Universe has its benefits! You are blessed, with every blessing God has! The Christian life is not a process of one becoming blessed, or receiving spiritual treasures. The Christian life starts with unequivocal wealth and blessing! The phrase “who has blessed” is one Greek word, eulogeō, meaning to ‘invoke a benediction upon’. In Christ, God has pronounced every pleasing blessing heaven has to offer on you! You have a great inheritance. Also, just because it says “spiritual blessing”, doesn’t mean that the blessings aren’t those that can translate to tangible realities. No, “spiritual” is telling us where these blessings are located. The treasure chest is in the spiritual realm.

You’ve also got a great identity:

“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will”. (Ephesians 1:4-5)

You are something very special! The Spirit longs for you to know your royal identity. To see yourself as you are, located in Christ. These verses reveal so much about the believers great identity; 1) We are holy (hagios = “pure”, “saint”, free from sin, made holy at the core of being), 2) We are blameless (amōmos = “faultless”, “unblamable”, united to Jesus therefore forgiven and unpunishable), 3) We are before him (katenōpion = “directly in front of: before (the presence of)”, the NIV says “in his sight”, however, this isn’t just a Jesus-goggle thing, God doesn’t just see us as holy and blameless even though we’re really not. No, he has made us to be holy and blameless and seated us on his lap, we are before him, in his presence continually.) We are also, as Ephesians 1:4-5 goes on to say, “adopted as his sons”! You are declared to be God’s baby and given spiritual life and immortality!

And you’ve got great power:

“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” (Ephesians 1:18-19)

Paul doesn’t pray that the mighty Spirit of God would make us weak vessels strong. No! Paul prays for the eyes of our hearts to be enlightened – enlightened to know that we have a great power on the inside of us. Enlightened to know that we are powerful, sharers of God’s great omnipotence!  My goodness the believer is powerful. You are packing so much glory and power. If you realised just how powerful you actually are you would never see yourself quite the same way. Agree with God. The Old Testament exhorts the weak to say that they are strong (Joel 3:10), but under the New Covenant God has made you strong; strong with his incomparable power and strength.

So, you have a great inheritance, a great identity, and a great power. But, are you locating yourself in the great? Are you enjoying truth? Right now, right here, where are you locating yourself? You see, even if you aren’t locating yourself in the gospel reality, it will still be true, you will still have a great inheritance, a great identity, and a great power, but you won’t be able to enjoy it to its fullness. You are designed, however, to experience heaven on earth. You will only be at home when you locate yourself in heavenly places. And through enjoying and locating yourself in heavenly places you will make your home like heaven!

Every one of us has a built in GPS system. We wake up in a morning and often allow our GPS to locate us in the natural, in our circumstances, in our wrong beliefs. As we continue to live on auto-pilot, we continue to allow ourselves to locate ourselves in the natural; this then produces negative feelings and emotions, a stability that is built on a unstable foundation. However, when we start to realise and engage with the other realm, the heavenly realm, we allow ourselves to locate ourselves in the heavenly realms. When we locate ourselves in the gospel reality, in Christ, we see the power and glory of God manifest in our outward lives, bringing the full force of our inheritance with it. We see heaven on earth! So, locate yourself correctly! Start to enjoy faith. Live your life with an enthusiastic awareness of the kiss of heaven. Locate yourself in heavenly places. Locate yourself in the gospel reality!
