Don’t Stress, Rest!

Philippians 4:6

‘Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.’ (KJV)

Stress is often subtle; people don’t always recognize that they are battling with its symptoms, weighed down by pressure. However, this is not the portion of a child of God. No way! Although, in the systems of this world there is plenty of opportunity and reason for stress, we can reign above it! We can enjoy the love of our Papa and live free from fear and stress!

This is why the Bible encourages us to be anxious about nothing; “Be careful for nothing” (KJV), because it is the portion of the believer to live stress free. The Bible wouldn’t encourage it if it weren’t possible. No, there is real potential to live everyday stress free! And instead of stressing, we can rest. This is what the Bible encourages us to do instead of being anxious; “but in every thing by prayer and supplication.’” (KJV). This verse is simply talking about consciousness; i.e. instead of being anxious, we get to be, when we like, aware of God and the good things in our inheritance. Prayer is the Greek word proseuchē, and petition is the Greek word deēsis, and both simply refer to being aware of and enjoying God. I don’t believe Philippians 4:6 refers to us asking God for things he has already provided; God has already given us every blessing we need (see Eph. 1:3, 2 Pet. 1:3). Philippians 4:6 is talking about how we can, instead of worrying, focus on and enjoy Jesus. And when we do this we can be sure that our needs have been met by Christ’s Finished Work. This is why Paul adds, “with thanksgiving”, because it is already a reality. Paul then adds, “let your requests be made known unto God” (KJV); here we see the direction of our consciousness – God. Instead of worrying, we get to be conscious of God (prayer and petition) and then be thankful (because we have the answer)!

This is the antidote to stressful living! Why don’t you try it? Instead of stressing, why not rest? Instead of being caught up in the art of worrying, why not enjoy Jesus and fill your mind of all the wonderful things in your inheritance? Now, we aren’t to make this into a work; some people replace worrying with trying to be prayerful. The reality is so much better. We get to enjoy faith, to enjoy our union with the Godhead, when we want to, led by the Spirit, and as we do we will see faith expressing itself and the power of God made manifest!

Locate Yourself Correctly

By Josh Hunt

6The gospel is the greatest message in the Cosmos! What God has done in Christ has ensured our happiness for all time! Are you enjoying the reality Jesus came to give you? Well, as I have heard Joseph Prince say – paraphrased – ‘there’s nothing wrong with the message, and there’s nothing wrong with you.’ Often when preachers assert the validity of the message they preach they blame their listener; [read in angry preacher voice] “there’s nothing wrong with Jesus, there’s nothing wrong with the Word, so the problem is with you!”

But there is nothing wrong with you, in-fact, Jesus has made you right! The message and reality of the gospel is true. There’s nothing wrong with it, and there’s nothing wrong with you! But allow me to ask you, are you enjoying it? Are you enjoying the glorious news of the5 New Covenant? Enjoying is imperative for, well, enjoying. Faith enjoying is a glorious way to see and enjoy the spiritual inheritance in the tangible! Are you enjoying? It’s so fun! Life with our Daddy is so exciting! His goodness overwhelming!

So many people are hearing the grace message, yet some are struggling to feel it in their emotions. Some are left saying; “Thank Jesus for the cross! But, where is the joy?” There is a difference between intellectual assent and enjoying and believing the truth. Many are becoming free intellectually, and knowing the benefits to an extent; however, in order to enjoy the full benefit, we must enjoy the reality by faith. It’s possible to learn the truth of new birth in Christ, but still locate ourselves in deadness. Worry, fear, anxiety, depression, can be all signaling signs that we may be, at times, locating ourselves incorrectly. As Joseph Prince says; ‘right believing produces right living.’ The same is true; wrong believing produces wrong emotions.

Don’t ‘settle’ in the natural. Don’t be deceived into thinking and believing that a contradiction, whether an emotion or circumstance, can dictate the level of glory you can experience! Didn’t anyone tell you that you have been joined to Christ? Mortality was swallowed up by immortality! Your life is supernatural! You are supernatural! One with deity, Married to Majesty! And, don’t try to ‘achieve’ in the supernatural. Don’t be tricked into thinking and believing that you have got to build a relationship with God in order to enjoy the gospel. Some people are so worn out through trying to attain happiness and joy through prayer, fasting, or ‘abiding’. No, didn’t anyone tell you that you are joined to Christ, Married to Majesty?! Don’t ‘settle’ in the natural, and don’t try to ‘achieve’ in the supernatural. Instead, ‘settle’ into the arms of Daddy God, and rest in what Jesus has 7‘achieved’ for you! In other words, the key is to enjoy the gospel by faith!

You are not ordinary, so stop locating yourself in the ordinary! You are not a victim to your circumstance. It is not fitting for the wonderful (you), to locate themselves anywhere but heavenly realms. You may have spent your whole life locating yourself in the natural, believing you are less than who God says you are, but today, you can relocate! Maybe you’re struggling with negative circumstances? You have options you may not know about!

It will help you in locating yourself correctly if you understand what grandeur you have been plugged into! You’ve got a great inheritance:

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3 KJV)

Union with the King of the Universe has its benefits; you are blessed, with every blessing God has! The Christian life is not a process of one becoming blessed, or receiving spiritual treasures. The Christian life starts with unequivocal wealth and blessing! The phrase “who has blessed” is one Greek word, eulogeō, meaning to ‘invoke a benediction upon’. In Christ, God has pronounced every pleasing blessing heaven has to offer on you! You have a great inheritance. Also, just because it says “spiritual blessing”, doesn’t mean that the 8blessings aren’t those that can translate to tangible realities. No, “spiritual” is telling us where these blessings are located. The treasure chest is in the spiritual realm.

You’ve also got a great identity:

“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will” (Ephesians 1:4-5 KJV)

You are something very special! The Spirit longs for you to know your royal identity, to see yourself as you are, located in Christ. These verses reveal so much about the believers great identity; 1) We are holy (hagios = “pure”, “saint”, free from sin, made holy at the core of being). 2) We are blameless (amōmos = “faultless”, “unblamable”, united to Jesus therefore forgiven and unpunishable). 3) We are before him (katenōpion = “directly in front of: before (the presence of)”, the NIV says “in his sight”, however, this isn’t just a Jesus-goggle thing, God doesn’t just see us as holy and blameless even though we’re really not. No, he has made us to be holy and blameless and seated us on his lap, we are before him, in his presence continually.) We are also, as Ephesians 1:4-5 goes on to say, “adopted as his sons” – You are declared to be God’s baby and given spiritual life and immortality!

And you’ve got great power:

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power” (Ephesians 1:18-19 KJV)

Paul doesn’t pray that the mighty Spirit of God would make us weak vessels strong. No! Paul prays for the eyes of our hearts to be enlightened – enlightened to know that we have a great power on the inside of us. Enlightened to know that we are powerful, sharers of 9God’s great omnipotence! My goodness the believer is powerful. You are packing so much glory and power. If you realized just how powerful you actually are you would walk with such confidence! Agree with God. The Old Testament exhorts the weak to say that they are strong (Joel 3:10), but under the New Covenant God has made you strong – strong with his incomparable power and strength.

So, you have a great inheritance, a great identity, and a great power. But, are you locating yourself in the great? Are you enjoying truth? Right now, right here, where are you locating yourself? You see, even if you aren’t locating yourself in the gospel reality, it will still be true, you will still have a great inheritance, a great identity, and a great power, but you won’t be able to enjoy it to its fullness. You are designed, however, to experience heaven on earth. You will only be at home when you locate yourself in heavenly places. And, through enjoying and locating yourself in heavenly places you will make your home like heaven!

Every one of us has a built in GPS system. We wake up in a morning and often allow our GPS to locate us in the natural, in our circumstances, in our wrong beliefs. Sometimes people live in this negative auto-pilot; some continue to allow themselves to locate themselves in the natural – this then produces negative feelings and emotions, a stability that is built on an unstable foundation. However, when we start to realize the other realm, the heavenly realm, we allow ourselves to locate ourselve10s in the heavenly realms. When we locate ourselves in the gospel reality, in Christ, we see the power and glory of God manifest in our outward lives, bringing the full force of our inheritance with it. We see heaven on earth! So, locate yourself correctly! Start to enjoy faith. Live your life with an enthusiastic awareness of the kiss of heaven. Locate yourself in heavenly places. Locate yourself in the gospel reality!

A Detailed Love

3 John 1:2 (KJV)

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

God’s heartbeat is family; ‘In the beginning God’ isn’t just a clever introduction to the bible, it is a declaration of God’s form of existence – family! The Hebrew word for ‘God’ is the word ‘elohiym’, and this word is plural. Some see this to be of little consequence, but to the New Testament believer it is obviously a reference to the family of the Godhead! Not only has God always existed in family (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), but he created humankind to share in this family. God’s purpose for creation was family. And, it hasn’t changed! God’s heart is family – God’s heart is you! Papa’s love for family is detailed, and as such, is full of pleasant blessings and surprises! God wants his children to know and believe his love for them and the riches and blessings that Jesus has provided!

You are the love of God’s life; you are God’s reason, his poem! Papa adores you in such a personal and intimate way. Papa God desires for all of his children to understand their place in his family, and his detailed love for them. Because of Jesus and his Finished Work you are now part of the circle of the Trinity! You are in the family! As such you have an inheritance; as such it is your birth-right to be blessed! Believe that these glorious blessings are yours. Believe that through Jesus, you have an irrevocable right to the riches of the Trinity and that you can know this inheritance, just as it is your right to know the love of your God and your identity is his family!

Daddy loves you and his heart for you is blessing. John’s salutation in 3 John echoes the heart of our loving Saviour. Daddy God says to you today; ‘Beloved, my love for you is personal and detailed. My heart for you is blessing. Go through life knowing that I am with you and because I am with you, blessings are chasing you down!’ That’s God’s heart for his children! Daddy doesn’t want us striving, begging, and pessimistic. He wants us expectant of good days, because he loves us, and his love for us is detailed!

Free to Live in Newness

Ephesians 2:14-15

‘But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace’.

Through the finished work of the cross the law (the Law of Moses and the system of striving under self-effort) has been abolished. Now, by ‘abolished’ I don’t mean just chucked out. Jesus didn’t come to just get rid of the law (Matt. 5:17).  He came to fulfil it (again Matt. 5:17). But after fulfilling the law it was made obsolete (Heb. 8:13). After Jesus fulfilled the law he abolished it.

As a New Covenant believer you are not under the law. Jesus has got rid of the law and has inaugurated a new system – a system of being led by the Holy Spirit. So I want to encourage you today; live under the New. Perhaps you are struggling in a certain area? Feeling discourage or worn-out? Battling with an addiction? Well, the law is not your answer. Putting yourself under law will only empower sin, misery, and defeat. The answer is in the new way of the Spirit. Instead of trying, start trusting. Now, I know it can sometimes seem impractical to embrace that which is unseen and to trust the in the ‘supernatural’, but the Holy Spirit is so capable! God is your supplier, and he hasn’t got a supply that is plagued by a drudgery attitude! He loves to see you enjoying your inheritance! He loved to supply your supply!

Christ and his finished work has accomplished so much; including ‘Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances.’ Jesus desires for us then to live in the new way of the New Covenant. See yourself as God sees you. Live by the New. Stop striving under a system that is gone, dead and buried. Frolic in the new and eternal way of the Spirit. As you do you will see effortless holiness and freedom manifest like Jesus himself was in you… oh wait…

A Whole New World

Galatians 1:3-5

‘Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,  who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,  to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.’ (KJV)

Some believers spend their entire lives trying to ‘escape’; escaping from sin, the systems of this world (do good, get good and foreboding mentalities), from poverty, from ‘bad luck’, and from a whole host of different things. They erroneously believe that; 1) they need to escape, and 2) something out there can help them. Number 2 is sadly often hijacked by Christian ministers who then, mostly out of genuine intent, create a religion out of a relationship, and give people steps, formulas, or practical advice based on self-effort. This is all because somewhere along the line we believed we needed to ‘escape’…

The thinking that one needs to escape derives from the belief of lack; the belief of lack erroneously states that you haven’t got what it takes, that you aren’t blessed, are distant and separate from God, and need to attain in order to enjoy. The Spirit, though, is leading us to understand that we have escaped the ‘dominion of darkness’ and that we have arrived, in fact are enthroned, in the Kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy! You see, you have being baptized into the Kingdom. You are a new creation (see 2 Cor. 5:17), and you are FREE, you have escaped! YOU have escaped! Because of what Jesus has accomplished through his death, burial and resurrection, you are in a whole new world! Your escape has happened via the Finished Word of Jesus; you have been ‘rescued’, or ‘translated’ as Colossians 1:13 states; “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” (KJV). You have been set free, rescued, translated and delivered out of the dominion of darkness and the present evil age with all of its effects and consequences.

So, instead of trying to escape, and rather than trying to be set-free from sin, and in place of aiming to be safe from ‘bad luck’, why not enjoy and give thanks! You are free, you are in the Kingdom, you have Jesus’ own righteousness, you have his incomparable favor. And you have ‘escaped’! You are enthroned with him!

Renewed Mindfulness

By Paige Hunt

“Your very next thought, feeling, or action can begin to uncover the deepest spiritual wisdom, which flows pure and free as mountain waters in spring” – Deepak Chopra

In Christ we have been planted into a whole new world. This world is the dimension of ‘being’ that Romans 6 invites us to bask and bathe in. It is the wisdom of the ages revealed in full clarity (John 4:24; Colossians 2:3). Instead of living from inferior mind-sets and22 desires, we can live from the heart and mind of heaven – the true pattern of our design. Our every cell bathes in heaven’s substance. Indeed, our substance is a unique flavour of Jesus. Repentance is not simply changing our own minds to believe this truth – it is going beyond an independent sense of ‘self’, to the flavoursome consciousness of Christ, expressing himself in unique and whimsical ways through you. It is sinking into a unique, satisfying, expressive-divine union with Christ.

“Well then, by virtue of undergoing baptism into death we were buried with him, in order that, as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father’s glorious power, we, too, might live and move in a new kind of existence” – Romans 6:4 (God’s New Covenant: A New Testament Translation)

We have been given a new quality of life, a new kind of existence in union with the Godhead; a divine-spiritual kind of humanity which is serenity, tranquillity, and garden-beauty. J.B. Phillips articulates this wonderfully, stating that in Christ an entirely new plane of existence, a new dimension of living, has opened up to us:

“We were dead and buried with him in baptism, so that just as he was raised from the dead by that splendid Revelation of the Father’s power, we too might rise to life on a new plane altogether. If we have, as it were, shared his death, let us rise and live our new lives with him! Let us never forget that our old selves died with him on the cross that the tyranny of sin over us might be broken—for a dead man can safely be said to be immune to the power of sin. And if we were dead men with him we can believe that we shall also be men newly alive with him” – Romans 6:4-8 (Phillips)

This kind of life is one of full immersion into the Godhead, where we can instantaneously access all of the atmospheric and practical virtues and blessings of God’s quality of life, no longer having to be dominated by any of those ancient habits and wrong ways of feeling, thinking, and being that we tried so sincerely to rid ourselves of. The problem was that we so falsely believed that this uninspired, dull, sin-way of living was our identity and the 23pattern of our design. Francois du Toit in the Mirror Bible accurately reveals to us that the power of Romans 6 lies in the fact that when we died, these false realities were completely eradicated from us, torn apart from our sense of consciousness, so that we could experience a new kind of fullness – the fullness of God’s nature and core-material. Francois states that the truth of Romans 6 “have set a new standard to become the pattern of your life; the grace of God ended sin’s dominance…consider your life now, there are no outstanding debts; you owe sin nothing! A life bonded to God yields the sacred expression of his character, and completes in your experience what life was always meant to be.” – Romans 6:17, 22 (Mirror Word)

The new reality which we experience through Christ results in consciousness-expansion, so that we can feel each aspect of us at rest, in the ease and lightness of the glory realm of God’s love – swimming in the psychedelic inspiration-colours and delicious abundance-aromas of heaven’s life. We are bonded to all of heaven, expressing the inspiration and composition of God naturally, through our personalities and hearts.  The river of life flowing within us once gurgled and slopped with a thick, murky sludge-like quality, glooping lazily through a garden of death, yet Christ was the mystic portal that transported us through the looking-glass of life, and now we are a dancing, living, fresh-pure stream, flourishing in a garden of life and lofty beauty. We are free, where we once were stuck in muddy, difficult mind-sets. We are in the ease of the Breath of life. 19

“…If we were planted into the garden of His death, surely we shall be planted into the garden of His resurrected life” – Romans 6:5 (Cotton Patch)

It is not simply that we ‘shall be’ – the context of Romans 6 reveals that we already are. Another way that Paul describes this is in Colossians 3:9-10:

“Seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man”

We are therefore instructed to SEE and BEHOLD the realities of Jesus to experience what is already true of us at the core of us, in the spiritual realm, in the here and now. Interestingly, the words for ‘put off’ and ‘put on’ in Colossians are the Greek words ‘ekduo’, and ‘enduo’. These words describe sinking out of one thing and into another. – We have sunk into his resurrection garden through resting in his love and faithfulness on our behalf! So to see this new life manifesting through our bodies and circumstances, all we have to do is keep on sinking into the glorious realities of the Father’s love for us! Rest into the cosy comfort of his detailed, lavish goodness.

Seeing this beautiful garden of our essence is the Father’s aromatherapy.

“The bliss of God is the essence of holiness itself. Many confuse holiness with the outward form of legalism or external religious activities. But holiness is not the absence of sin; it is the Presence of God. A lot of people think they are in God’s will because they have gotten rid of a lot of sin, but emptying out all of your bad stuff does God no favors. You can be empty of sin, but still be empty! Don’t be empty; instead get full of God! Being filled with the Spirit always produces fruitfulness and wonders…The more you drink His Presence, the more you believe what he has already done. The more you believe, the more virtue you manifest” – John Crowder, The Ecstasy of Loving God.

The Romans 6 reality is a great drink of, well, Reality! As you drink of the revelation of the resurrection of Christ, which is the Song of all songs, you begin to realise that forgiveness of sins is only one half of the Gospel – the entire power of God is in the revelation of our heady resurrection with Christ. A resurrection that has turned our whole world upside down – that has placed us in a new kind of existence. The Kingdom of God is at our fingertips, and it is not about words but it reveals that we bathe in, and are surrounded by, the POWER of God’s goodness and glory. His very essence flows through our veins. (1 Corinthians 4:20). This world is Jesus Christ, our all in all (Colossians 3:11). His Spirit of 20tranquillity is that mystic spring. The nourishing elixir of life. As Psalm 36 states, God ‘gives us to drink of the wadi of delights’. We are invited to simply sit in the Presence of God, free of religious obligations and stoic, religious ideas. To simply sit and drink up the new world.

“When anyone is united to Christ, there is a new world. The old order has gone, and a new order has already begun” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 (New English Bible)

We are not simply planted in this world; we are also composed of it. Galatians 2:20 in the Distilled Bible says, ‘I consider myself as having died and now I am enjoying a second existence, which is simply Jesus using my body’. Your whole body is filled with the Presence of Jesus, flowing with this holy, heavenly, happy life of bliss. Indeed, our very breath is the ruah; the life-breath of God. The Kingdom of heaven is an experiential reality, and not some castle in the air.

“When you own your own breath, nobody can steal your peace” – Author unknown

Jesus calls us to enjoy his bliss through a conscious awareness that we are united with him at the core of us. We are breathing the Holy Spirit – the fullness of God in the here and now. Inhale the beauty of this whole new world, the creative inspiration, the endless paradise-harmony-pleasure, and you will effortlessly exhale the miraculous – divine renewal of youth, a sound mind, financial miracles. Allow yourself to feel those waves of his Spirit flowing through you. The abundance, health, and total well-being of his Presence within you – indeed, your very own Presence. You are in total oneness with this Presence. You are composed of the life of the Godhead. The peace that surpasses all 24understanding bathes your whole being – you were made for tranquillity. You are the glory cloud. You are the enchanted forest that invites you to explore endless prophetic depths.

As you realise that in your co-union with Christ, you are wholly holy, you will effortlessly flow with the frequencies of heaven – his energies and vibrations that speak life into your life. Sink deeper, sail further away on the waves of his love and grace, and see how deep the rabbit hole goes. We can sink into the satisfaction and lofty pleasure of God’s garden universe.  You have the fullness of heaven’s vibrations right now. Feel them – the wisdom is in the experience of God. The glory articulates the wisdom of God through your being, into your mind, into your emotions. Picture a hookah, an oriental water pipe, which draws the smoke through a bowl of water. The revelation of your co-union with Jesus Christ is an experiential Holy Spirit hookah. It flavours everything with the life of heaven.

The message of inclusion which the Gospel articulates to you is that everything about you and your perspective is ‘in Christ’, and in Christ, it is Glory Land. This is the reality of perfection, beauty, and abounding creativity – here, everything is inspiration. As Titus 1:15 18sings, ‘to the pure, all things are pure’. Your reality is purity in all-things. Allow yourself to sink into these realities, like a soothing, comforting bubble bath of aromatic fragrances. Allow yourself to enjoy the altered state of consciousness that the Gospel offers!

“There is another way; a breath of love that takes you all the way to infinity.” – Rumi

The Gospel of Jesus always gives us a deeper drink of life. Keep on drinking in this whole new world. Rest in this perfected garden of intoxicated serenity, breathing in the colours, sounds, and sights of this paradise garden of God. You have unlimited friendship with the Trinity! Unhindered union!

To human reasoning, perfection-bliss-creativity in the here and now can seem like insanity. It goes against the grain of human wisdom. But it truly remains the wisdom of the Father. The heavenly perspective of Jesus Christ, and all of his love and wonder is referred to in Scripture as the potent wine of God. God truly is a free Spirit of wild, untamed wonder. As 2 Corinthians 5:13 states, “if we are out of our mind, it is for God”.

Yes, let us be hedonists of God – lovers out of our minds, living from the mind of Christ – wonderland. Let us be drinkers of his pleasure, unable to resist the superior delights of enjoying this breath of life, and the altered state of consciousness it brings us, as we see that lie of an independent self utterly severed from our perceptions. The limitations we held within our vision – those threats and contradictions – melt like butter on a hot day. You can give up self-confidence and the lie of independent living and reasoning, to live care-free in the care of the Father. To live, move, and have your being in oneness with this whole new world. Your reality is the Trinity. You are a unique flavour of their life. They express themselves through you super naturally day-by-day as you flow in the inspiration of your mystical co-union with Christ.

Romans 12:2 highlights that the wisdom of God is there in renewed mind, and with it flows physical transformation as we begin to flow with the reality of this glory. This renewed mind is not something which we partially possess. We have within us the mind of Christ in its entirety. (1 Corinthians 2:16). As we rest, soak, and breathe in this new creation reality; a reality of unhindered union with the Godhead, the glory flows effortlessly. The mystical 25spring within us bubbles over with life and solves everything. Christ is all and in all – flowing, bubbling, babbling with glorious, beautifying simplicity! (John 7:38).

This whole world dances and prances, gushes and flutters with the wisdom of Christ. God loves to enjoy the reality of this cosmos. Each person, and all flora and fauna, are like different flavoured hookahs to the Christ. He loves to breathe in the flavours and inspired thought of his creativity. God is love-drunk on the reality of existence! Allow these truths to bring about a love-drunkenness in you, a jolly awakening to the endless abundance of life we have in Christ. He is layer upon layer of glorious goodness.

“Then I [wisdom] was constantly [or ‘was the artisan’/’was a little child’] at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing [or ‘playing’] always in his presence, rejoicing [or ‘playing’] in his whole world and delighting in mankind.” – Proverbs 8:30-31

This passage speaks of the Holy Spirit, our artistic, child-like Spirit of Wisdom. Our composition and love-flow. God is a God of child-like simplicity, of enthusiastic play and delight. He is a true artisan of freedom! You were created with God’s love-drunken nature. Your heart and mind are flooded with the colours, beauty, and playful delight of God! The wisdom of God is not stoic, it is aesthetic, delicious, and vibrant – it vibrates heaven’s frequencies throughout your whole being and plunges you into his emotions of bliss,26 as you re-connect with this revelation of Jesus Christ, the Gospel of heaven on earth. In this Gospel we can experience and discover the endless depths of wisdom and glory! (Colossians 2:3)

His mountain-water wisdom,
flowing within and throughout us,
giving composition to everything.

“And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 13:52

“Live each moment completely and the future will take care of itself. Fully enjoy the wonder and beauty of each moment.”- Paramahansa Yoganandya

“The Gardener, being as He is the Creator of water, pours it in without stint; and whatever the soul has not been able to collect in perhaps twenty years of exhausting intellectual effort, the heavenly Gardener gives it in a moment” – Teresa of Avila.

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

In Christ you have been surrounded with and immersed into the glory realm, and the glory realm is the substance of endless marvels, miracles, and creative wonders! Sink into layer upon layer of God’s good thoughts concerning your perfection in Christ, and in this place of care-free intimacy, God will take care of you.

The Peace of God

John 14:27

‘Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.’

Christianity is not about our effort – it is about Christ’s effort. Christianity is not about our sacrifice – it is about Christ’s sacrifice. Christianity is not living a life of toil trying to attain inner peace – Christ has given us his own peace. The moment we said ‘yes’ to Jesus, the moment we looked at love on a tree, we received his very own life (Col. 3:4), which includes his inexhaustible, stable peace. You are a partaker of the emotional life of Christ himself!

You do not need to try to attain inner peace, nor do you need to manufacture your own, you have received the peace of God! The Godhead; Father, Son and Spirit have always enjoyed perfect peace and you are now a partaker of that family (2 Pet. 1:4)! You can enjoy that peace that transcends understanding and earthly circumstances (Phil. 4:7).

You are no longer part of the dominion of darkness, the system of emotional exhaustion, no, you are a ruler of the Kingdom of light (Col. 1:13), the oasis of righteous, PEACE and joy in the Holy Ghost (Rom. 14:17). You don’t need any more peace, you have God’s own peace, and it’s in your Spirit. You don’t need to search or ask, just believe. Walk according to the fact that you are already filled with peace and are a beneficiary of the emotional life of Christ and you will manifest the peace which is already inside of you!

According to His Riches

Philippians 4:19

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

‘God is El Shaddai, not El Cheapo’ – Andrew Wommack.

Haha, I love this quote. A lot of Christians rarely forget that God is the Almighty and that he is rich beyond compare, but a lot of believers do often forfeit the peace of knowing that God wants to be the Almighty in their lives and that he has shared his riches with them! God HAS shared his wealth with you, in fact he has shared his life with you (see 1 Pet. 1:4, 2 Pet. 1:4, Col. 3:4). And, he delights in showing you your inheritance (what’s been provided through the death, burial, resurrection, and accession of Jesus). It is his pleasure to reveal what’s included in your treasure chest of grace! What’s more, is that you discovering your inheritance is actually a testament to God’s grace! Hear God say to you today; “My Beloved, I so love you! I want you to relax, receive my love, and open every present that is bestowed upon you. Don’t leave one unopened!”

In the light of this good news, what circumstances are you worried about? What situation are you deeming impossible? Whatever it is you’re facing, God says, “I’ve got it! I’ve got it covered. I have personally paid the bill for whatever breakthrough you need”. So, don’t focus on your worries, or even your contradictory circumstances, focus on his over-supply that is ready to flow into every area of your life!

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19). This verse reminds us that God’s supply is rich! That God’s supply is not in accordance with our need, but in accordance to the riches of God’s grace! Focus on that today. Don’t live in demand, live in supply. Don’t live in reaction to negative emotions or circumstances, live in response to God’s love, grace, and supply!

New Covenant Prayer – Part 2

By Josh Hunt

In this article I want to look at New Covenant prayer, exactly; what is it? And probably as equally precisely; what it is not! Well, let’s start by stating the obvious, what most Christians believe, even those shrouded with legalism: prayer is powerful. Now I want to clarify this by calling to remembrance the fact that it is actually the finished work of Jesus which is powerful, but prayer can be a way that faith is expressed, resulting in power. Of course this statement is only true if prayer is Spirit-led, and although many think they know what that means, the truth is that Spirit-led prayer is prayer that is in line with grace and is inspired and filled with the power of the Spirit and the outrageous love of our great Daddy God. So, saying that prayer is powerful and that it ought to be Spirit-led, let’s go a little bit deeper into what prayer actually is and how it works.

In order for us to understand new covenant prayer, we must know what underlines it, what its foundation is. Most Christians seem to stop at non-descript foundations; if you ask most believers what the foundations of the Christian life are, they will probably tell you things like; obedience, bible reading, prayer, and maybe giving. But those are all activities that can enjoyed. Truly though, the foundation of the Christian life, and indeed the foundation of prayer is Jesus! Jesus Christ and his Finished Work is the foundation of prayer and new covenant prayer is perfectly at home, and in-line with this foundation!11

This foundation (Jesus) of course oozes with what Jesus came and accomplished through his incarnation, his death, resurrection, and ascension! This foundation oozes ‘it is finished!’, and although many are stuck in a mind-set which asks for more, true prayer remains to be enjoying that which we have already been given! While we are on the subject of asking for more, let me say; God has provided a holistic Salvation, a Salvation that is complete and contains every blessing we could ever need and imagine, so how can we seek that which we have been given? Asking for what Jesus has already provided is common among church folk, but is foreign to the apostle Paul; who boldly, consistently, reminded the church that they are complete and have been given everything that Jesus is and has! He even went as far as to say that we are ‘joint-heirs’ with Christ (See Romans 8:17)!

One of the most common misconceptions of prayer is that prayer is a weapon with which we ‘win’ (whatever the ‘win’ may be). However, the truth of Jesus (the foundation of prayer) tells us that in him we already have victory. In the new covenant we find again and again the tale that Jesus has won and we get to share his victory! Also, when Paul talks about our spiritual weapon and armour, he doesn’t mention prayer as a tool to victory in and of itself (see Ephesians 6), what he does mention however, are beliefs that are centred upon the Finished Work of Jesus! Prayer does not achieve, Jesus achieved!

Although prayer isn’t a work for us to use to move the divine into giving that which we lack (an impossibility as we have been given all that Jesus is and has), prayer is a channel which faith can use to enforce the victory that Jesus has already won! The Holy Spirit loves to love us in wonderful and spectacular ways, and show us our beauty in ways that are intimate and real. And, although this can take many different forms, it is being conscious of this, mainly the Spirit in us and around us, for us, and in love with us, that constitutes prayer. It is in this way that faith can operate in, and move through. Through this consciousness (and again, this could take many different shapes), grace, through faith is searching the deep things of God, and leading us to enjoy the wonderful life given to us in Jesus! As I have heard it said; ‘prayer is kissing our Father’s face’!

When we understand prayer as a way to simply be loved, and enjoy our Daddy’s nearness, we disconnect with ideas of prayer being hard, or as being a tool to attain something foreign or distant! Prayer being simply an enjoyment of Daddy God introduces us to the privilege of ‘want to’; we aren’t left having to pray in order to get God to grant us a good day, or to stop the devil coming after us, no, prayer becomes a thing of enjoyment; something we get to do (turning our attention to Daddy God), when we want to, in whatever way or form we like. Prayer does not take away from enjoying life, prayer is kissing God and being kissed in the midst of enjoying the fullness of life that he has already given us! 9

As I have already said, prayer can be a channel which faith uses to operate. New covenant prayer is turning and kissing our Daddy God, enjoying his love, and meditating on his promises, what’s more is that prayer can take many different forms. Some have heard that new covenant prayer is not striving or asking for what God has already given us, but its _______ [fill in the blank]. The problem that can happen with defining prayer by a function or outlet of prayer is that then it can be turned into a formula, and a formula is different than enjoying the living Holy Spirit. Prayer can look like some traditional outlets; commanding promises into existence, talking to God, speaking the word etc. But the heart of prayer is being loved and partnering with Holy Spirit. Faith may operate through prayer and it may look like the above, however, you could also enjoy your inheritance through methods that are personal to you (not that the above can’t be).

New covenant prayer is all about Jesus. New covenant prayer is all about you. There is no tension between the above statements because the focus of prayer is union; not attaining, but enjoying, and because it’s enjoying it becomes Spirit-led! The flavour of faith is rest, and so of course that should be the flavour of prayer! Nothing about prayer should be detached from the reality that we are in perfect union with Daddy God and have all that he is and has!

So, enjoy faith today! Enjoy your life! Don’t limit prayer to the confines of tradition! Enjoy the Spirit and be led into glorious and happy experience with the one who knows you, who adores and loves you!
