Churches, employers and volunteers partnering with a men’s recovery ministry in Rogers Arkansas

Partner with us

This doesn’t work
without Northwest Arkansas

A recovery ministry can give a man six months. It can’t give him a church to belong to, a job to go to, or a community that knows his name. That part takes the rest of you.

For churches

What we’re asking
congregations for

A place to gather — this is our most urgent need.

We’re looking for a church in the Rogers area willing to share space for a weekend worship service where our men, their families, and the wider community can meet together. Sunday afternoon, Saturday, a fellowship hall, a sanctuary between services — we’re flexible and we’re serious.

This is the single thing that would most change what this ministry can offer right now. If your church has a room and an open weekend slot, please call.

Somewhere to send people.

Every pastor in this region has taken the phone call. Someone’s son, someone’s husband, and no clear idea where to point them. We’d like to be the answer you already have ready. There’s no cost to the family and no cost to your church.

A place for graduates to land.

A man finishing six months needs a congregation that will take him in without making him a project. If your church can be that, tell us.

Support from your congregation.

A missions line item, a special offering, a group that prays for the men by name, or people who come and serve.

For businesses and employers

Hire a man
who has done the work

A man graduating this program comes to you sober, having lived under structure for six months, with references who have watched him daily and will tell you the truth about him — including if the truth isn’t good. That is considerably more than most employers know about a new hire.

He’ll also show up. Men in early recovery who have found work tend to hold onto it with both hands.

What we ask: an honest look, not a favor. If he isn’t right for the job, say so.

Teach what you know

Our leadership and workforce training runs on business owners and tradespeople willing to spend a few hours with a room of men. Job readiness, interviews, money, running a crew, running a life. You don’t need a curriculum. You need to have done it.

Bring your trade in

Construction, HVAC, welding, electrical, plumbing, logistics, food service. Hands-on exposure to a trade is one of the most valuable things anyone can give a man here.

Underwrite part of the program

A business that funds a bed for a year has funded two men through this program. We’ll tell you exactly what happened with it.

Have something to offer? Tell us and we’ll be honest about whether we can use it.

For mentors

Be the man
somebody follows

Most men here have had plenty of people talk at them. What they’ve had very little of is a man of character in close enough range to imitate.

Mentoring here means showing up consistently, listening more than advising, and being honest. You don’t need a counseling background, a seminary degree, or a history of addiction. You need to be steady, available, and willing to keep showing up after it gets inconvenient.

We’ll be straight about the commitment: this is a real one. A man in recovery who gets attached to a mentor and then watches him drift away has been taught something we’d rather he not learn again.

For volunteers

Practical
help

Not every role involves counseling anyone.

If you have something to offer that isn’t on this list, call and tell us. We’re early enough that most good offers find a use.

In-kind donations

Things,
not money

Furniture, bedding, work clothing and boots, tools, vehicles, building materials, food, and professional services — legal, accounting, medical, trades.

Why partnership matters more here

Recovery is a
community project

A man can complete this program and still not make it. Not because the program failed him, but because he walked out into a region that had no place for him.

The men who last are the ones who leave with a church, a job, a mentor, and people expecting to see them on Tuesday. Every one of those comes from somebody in Northwest Arkansas deciding to be involved.

That’s what partnership is. Not charity toward this ministry — participation in what happens to a man after he leaves it.
